Job Summary

This Program Associate position is available within our nonprofit organizations and will be responsible for the following duties: planning and implementing programs, finding ways to increase membership, obtaining support from resource partners, creating work plans, developing annual budgets, and writing regular reports.  This position requires program management expertise, attention to details, problem solving, computer proficiency, multitasking, work prioritization, and time management.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Help redefine the Startable program strategy based on available assets, partners, priorities, etc.
  • Develop Startable program curriculum
  • Recruit students to participate in program
  • Engage other resources as needed, including instructors, speakers and partners
  • Act as point of contact/liaison for all program partners, instructors, speakers and staff
  • Implement program, building on past program successes, focusing on creating a pipeline of students to be engaged in IW accelerator and other opportunities
  • Continue to engage and provide resources for both recent and past program alumni
  • Act as point of contact for all Startable-related matters, including press, outreach, etc.
  • Maintain all Startable assets, such as website, social media, etc.
  • Act as public face of Startable, representing the program and IW to various stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills

  • Three to Five years experience with Education/teaching experience, including with under served students
  • Program coordination experience
  • Maker/tool experience
  • Entrepreneurship/startup experience
